Very disappointed in today's pitching with all the walks with 2 outs. At least we have 2 solid pitchers, is that enough?

Yea, but it was pretty much a group effort today. I think (and hope) Alsup will get it together

Still very early in the season. Nothing to worry about.

need more than 2 "solid" pitchers to get to omaha, imo.

It's still very early.

It's not like Alsup was terrible. A little bit of an off day with the walks.

Ne off day and you are ready to find a 3rd starter? You are unbelievable! Where was this thread after the previous Sunday games. I guess one more loss and you will be looking for PM's replacement.

Any type of walk isn't good, but wouldn't you rather have a 2 out walk over a 1 out or NO outs??? I mean at least you have 2 outs already.

Alsup left the game at 2-1. The only problem I had was the walking. In hind sight, I wish they would've let him finish out the inning, and he would have had the ump seen the tag Jacoby had on the runner going to 2nd. I was more disappointed in TJones for some reason.

Alsup was pretty effective when he was in the strike zone. the first run he gave up was bogus because the ump was blind. I agree he walked too many people, but its not like that has been a consistent theme with him. He just had an off day (and really he only gave up 1 actual run).

eta: nevermind he gave up more than that. forgot about the runners that dykstra inherited.

You're right, but still and all, not a turrible performance. We have to hit the ball a little bit better than that. Can't win them all!

I think it may have only been 1 runner he inherited. I think Alsup wouldve gotten out of it. Yes the walks were annoying but he was pitching around them. I thought it was a quick hook.

It's a good thing your not judging the pitching staff as a whole by one lousy game...
