All I remember last year is coming out slow damn near every game before going in at the half, making adjustments, and coming out in the second to win the game from behind.

How the hell did this team go into halftime with the lead only to get non-consensually fricked in the second half?

It's just very off brand from last year and I can't understand why.

Defense sucked. Why did the defense suck?
- lack of DB playmakers and depth
- no pressure from dline
- Perkins not utilized correctly
- horrible defensive game plan

End thread

The offense stalling drives and not converting them into points really killed our defense and they got gassed

I’m sure that had something to do with it. Defense flat out sucked arse. FSU was 9/14 on 3rd down and 1/1 on 4th. They couldn’t get off the field.

FSU feasted on shallow drag safety valves for Travis. Needed to adjust to man coverage on 3rd down

Weak offensive and defensive game planning plus more FSU defensive pressure on our offensive linemen then they could handle (soft). Strength training must have taken a step backward to be shoved around and bullied the way FSU manhandled our offensive linemen.
I’m hoping that FSU’s defense was the best we will see all year.

...k. Then how did we go into the half with the lead?

I agree with your bullet points, but we somehow managed to be competitive for the majority of the game.

By your logic we should've been getting stomped out for 4 quarters.

Fsu cleaned up the penalties and didn’t drop balls the second half.

Okay. Let’s assume the defense is fixed. Congratulations, instead of giving up 31 in the second half, we only give up 14. Where are we gonna get points from?

we had a number of 3rd and longs that were converted that lead to touchdowns because Matt House is a fricking retard and runs a 3 man rush again and again even though it got burned every fricking time

In all seriousness, when was the last time LSU gave up 31 points in a half? Was it October 11, 2008 @ The Swamp vs Tebow and Harvin?

They tried this in the first half. That’s the coverage exploiting Ryan in the slot

The receivers will catch the ball when thrown.

I know you want Nuss and think he magically fixes everything. But guys still have to catch the ball.

they have suspect talent in the defensive backfield
couple that with no pressure up front and the result is an arse kicking
maybe the indians are that good
we shall see
that said
looks like perkins will be a non factor at his new position in the middle and daniels will struggle mightily throwing downfield…

We had a poor gameplan and executed said poor gameplan poorly.

Plus, we’ve got no talent at corner and no fight, no intensity anywhere else.
