I will never forget how upset I was after that game. Thankfully it all worked out in the end.

Darren McFadden brought the wood, and little did we know at the time that LSU's NC hopes were not dashed

I was in Nashville for the Vanderbilt game this year and Oakland was in town to play the Titans. We saw McFadden downtown and took a picture with him. He seemed like a nice enough guy, but as we were walking away I told him that I can never forgive him for what he did in 2007.

He laughed and said "sorry, bro."

That was literally the quietest it's ever been right after an LSU game walking through the many tailgates, felt like everyone was leaving a funeral that thousands of people had just attended. Most deppressing, strangest feeling I've ever had after a tiger loss.

I remember most everyone around us in Tiger Stadium going crazy when Jacob Hester caught that wheel route TD to get the lead for the first time - only to be wiped out by "Not enough men on the line of scrimmage" courtesy of Early Doucet.

That Arkansas game was so tough to take as a Tiger fan. The Hogs just ran all over us - admittedly with an insanely talented RB/FB corps - but it was still painful to watch our defense get roughed up like that. Hillis being WIDE OPEN on 4th and 10 was painful. All was well that ended well in 2007/08 but two triple OT losses were tough to take.

I have never left TS with a more "numb" feeling. I wasn't sad or angry, just in disbelief that LSU just blew it's chance at the NC. I remember walking by the gate where the Ark. fans and family exited and saw a lady who had to be a mother of one of the Ark. players. She was excited but trying hold it back as the LSU fans passed in silence. She was even sincerely apologizing to some of the LSU fans for her team's win

I remember that day because my gf, her kids and my grandmaw were coming back from Gatlinburg. I picked up the game in GA and was picking up our cats at the Vets office when the 2 point conversion was picked off. I was so pissed I almost booted my cats across the street.

Not blitzing Dick on that 4th and 10 will be forever seared in my memory.

Sorry but I hated Bo Pelini ever since that play.

+1 was about to post the same thing. It was eerily quiet. Over 100,000 people on campus and it was dead silent. Longest walk to the car ever.

Most inexcusable loss in my long affiliation with LSU. NC hanging in the balance. We are playing at home. Yet the team comes out flat.

That game should have been over by the middle of the second quarter. We had numerous chances to bury Arkansas in the first twenty minutes of the game, but we let them hang around and it eventually cost us.

Pathetic.

I destroyed some end tables and a door after that game.

I had a wedding the day of the Kentucky game and my wife's grandparents renewed their vows for their 50th the day of the Arkansas game. Wore the same suit to both weddings. I have not wore the suit since then.

I never use my phone in church, but that day I was having ESPN refresh every 15 seconds during overtime. If I remember correctly, it went from a 3rd down play to LSU losing in one refresh. I refreshed it a couple more times in disbelief. Then I tried to calmly ask God why he could be so cruel to LSU, at home, against a border rival.

I agree that it was, by far, the hardest loss to stomach in my LSU history. Never had the Tigers thrown so much away (seemingly) in one game. It bothered me at the SEC CG in Atlanta as well. I remember alot of the fans walking around with pseudo-smiles because we went from playing for a NC to playing for the Sugar Bowl.

Wow. You're a better person than me. I would have told them thanks, but no thanks, I'll go to the game.

Actually, I think that deep down a lot of people really knew that LSU would lose that one. Miles and Pellini could not focus on the game all week with all of the Michigan and Nebraska boosters in town trying to lure them away from LSU...

Very sad day in TS. We went to the SECCG anyway and were so glad we did. After defeating the miserable Vols, I'll never forget sitting in that downtown Atlanta bar watching all of the other games fall the way we needed them to. We kept saying that we couldn't believe it and was this really happening. We then went to the BCSNCG in New Orleans and had an awesome time. Thanks 2007 TIGERS for a great ride!
We still have a chance this year 2010 Tigers. Let's finish this regular season off on Saturday with a solid thumping of the little piggies and maybe, just maybe, we will end this season in Glendale!!

It was an ineligible man downfield penalty because Doucet lined up on the line.
