Can go ahead and pencil Ohio State in the playoffs. They're good, and their schedule has them playing maybe one top 25 team this year.

MSB but you're right.

I'd hazard a bet on them versus the entire CFB field right now.

It pains me to say so.

1 week into the CFB season and threads like this are already starting...

Urban Meyer left the SEC and it's paid off handsomely. Is there a lesson to be learned?

Sure with their schedule, talent level, traditional FB power/ media love, defending NCs, Urban, they are easily at this point the main favorite to make the playoff. I will say interesting things occur every college football season, so I wouldn't put anybody in those playoffs at this point.

Be glad to bet you a ban from this site if you think it's a reach.

their schedule is ridiculous, it seems like theres only State between them and undefeated. that being said, i dont think VTech is very good, theres certainly no comparable level of talent, and yet they were up at half. OSU is not unbeatable.

Only thing standing between OSU and a playoff spot is another Meyer breakdown.

Didn't say Monroe, it was a reach. I agreed at this point they have the best chance. There is a great deal of FB to be played. I don't do "ban bets" because frankly I think they are asinine. I just want to see more FB before declaring a 12 point favorite who beats a team by 18 with their QB out in the 2nd half due to injury and was losing at half is a lock.

Never said it was a reach. But did you really need to make a thread about this after one week of CFB play?

I mean...that schedule is laughably bad. shite...other than Mich St, there might not be another top 40 team on that slate...

Minnesota will likely be around 20 or so, theyre a solid team.

i just wonder what happens if OSU loses to Sparty. will this be another bama situation where a division runner fails its only true test but gets a free pass anyway?

Minnesota hasn't been anywhere near the top 20 in forever. You're reaching just because they stayed with TCU at home. They always play a few competitive games against good teams at home, but they rarely put together solid seasons. Also, Michigan State is even close to having a team good enough to beat Ohio State at home.
