3 main building flaws of this team

1) Horrid 2021 recruiting class

Pearson and Dutton are only kids left from that class. Meanwhile the #1 player in Louisiana that year is hitting lead off for #1 team in country. (Stovall)

We are lacking Juniors who are playing for big MLB contracts. (I don’t count White in this)

2) Poor development of pitching depth. Guidry, Coleman, Bronzini, Johnson, Hurd, Ack, Loer, Little, Woods and Buckman all have ERAs over 5.00

If Noot and Shores were healthy this would be a different staff.

Hurd and Ack are 3-8 combined.

3) Failure of Kling and Neal

We were only going to go as far this year as these two would take us. And obviously they failed at taking the next step.

Failure of Kling and Neal

Hate to be blunt but Jay can’t ride with these two next year. I hope I’m wrong and they somehow figure it out but I just don’t see it. If they can’t figure it out by the end of the year they need to be replaced. Brutal but that’s the cold hard truth.

This team needs +20 new players next season.

That's just if we want to compete.

Good luck Jay.

I think Kling more than Neal. You’ll always need catchers. Doesn’t mean he has to start. But Kling can be replaced by a left headed hitter easy.
