I think this may be DD's best team. I think she has some good assistant coaches on board and I think keeping Ashley Claire Kearney involved as a volunteer coach has been a good move. I would still like to see her prove herself as a coach in post-season. Past teams have always won big regular season meets but cracked at the SEC championships and crucial post-season meets. It will be interesting to see if this team can finish ahead of Bama/UGA/FL at the SEC meet when the pressure is on and then make the Super 6 and actually compete for more than just a 6th place finish. To me that has been the problem. As a coach she has always been nationally competitive but never able to get to the next level and compete for a championship. Sort of reminds me of Cholly Mac's tenure...a contender who never actually won the big prize.

EXACTLY...DD has been here 36 years and never won the big prize, better said then anything I ever wrote (doesn't say much maybe), BUT Cholly Mac was beloved, DD is by all accounts I have heard (FWIW I know) a cancer to the Athletic Dept as a whole, coaches, admins etc. BUT, as I have said before, this years team is pehaps great and while I think DD should have been gone long ago, she IS our coach and I support the team and give her full credit for the year so far- and hope they win it all...I really do...

Absolutely agree with all that you've said on all accounts. I am amazed that she has outlasted so many ADs without getting canned.
