I continue to be extremely disappointed in the way CLM has his team come out of the locker in the 2nd. I cannot stand the fact that he comes out with the mentality that they will just coast to a win just because we went in the locker room with a "comfortable lead.

I'm not going to lie, I was extremely encouraged by the first half. The play calling was more imaginative, the QB play was much improved and we were burning clock allowing the defense to rest. Then we went into the locker room....

Coming out, I don't think I saw but maybe 3 or 4 sets with more than 2 WRs. Miss State clearly made adjustments as if Dan Mullen knew exactly what Miles would do with a lead. Coast. They keyed on the run and sold out to generating pressure if LSU caught them in play action. Predictable play calling, playing not to lose rather than putting the dagger in and curb stomping this team. Yea, I know fumbles and penalties prevented Miles vision from happening, but it still happens far too often under his watch. He piddles around with teams when he should keep his foot on the gas. We've all seen it come back to bite him in the arse and LSU lose games exactly like the game last night.

Even with a W, I think Miles seat should get hotter with the way he coached that game.

LOL.

No. LSU came out the second half the same way they did in the first half.

First possession got nothing, but then they moved the ball well.

The problem was our superstar fumbled not once, but TWICE to kill scoring drives.

If LSU just holds on to the ball and kicks two FGs (though I think the second drive was a TD) it would have been 29-6 and the game would not have been in question.

You realize we would have had a 90+ yard scoring drive had LF7 not fumbled the second time?

I want Miles gone too but I swear some of you don't understand football at all.

He got a W you ungrateful, spoiled and entitled fan! How dare you want to get the most out of the talent! What IF we win out! What IF Miles shits golden nuggets on the sideline. What IF! What IF! What IF!

Our team lost focus and as a result, MSU got back in the game. Same stuff, different year.

This was a well coached game.

I want to see Miles gone too but you need to be real.

2nd Half Adjustments... Or Lack There Of

Etling missed badly on 2 throws the first series, one to Dural who was wide open for a first down. Drive killed.

LF7 killed 2 drives with fumbles, one was a really great drive from the 1.

Pocic holding call on a 20 yard completion to Dural killed another nice drive.

I saw lack of execution in the 2nd half as the problem.

Bingo.

The best part about reading your summary wasn't reading stuff like:

We got stuffed again on the toss dive...

LF7 fumbled bc the defense read the play perfectly and smashed him...

There were no open WRs for our QB to throw too bc the plays were so basic....

Etc...

See what I mean? LOL

I expect us to lose more games, but if we lose them playing that style, I'm OK with it. We are evolving.
