A mediocre high school coach would have enough sense to call a time out. Reason clm gave for no time out was go for block. Let clock run down to 3 sec. Insanity. At least he owned up to it. Geaux tigers.

What good would calling a time out have served?

Reminds of me of Blanco during Katrina not knowing what day it was.

Miles keeps doing stupid crap like that over and over though

Time to throw a few passes at least.

Why is everyone still harping on this fact? The game should have been decided well before the final 29seconds.

Chavis cost us this game plain and simple.

I don't know which is more disturbing: the failure to call the timeout, or the explanation for the failure. Neither makes a lick of sense.

Yup, all we needed was to get in field goal range. I was shocked

Anyone know where I can find a welter jersey? A kid in my neighborhood is upset because a kid wearing a ray Lewis jersey keeps tackling him

OP must've wanted Mett to pad his interception stats.

If OBJ had gotten another good KO return, one or 2 passes would have gotten us in field goal range.

Either our coach was giving up or he was clueless to how much time was left/how many timeouts he had. Both disturb me.

Yes, I am surprised he didn't say "I was standing there screaming and signaling TO, but the reg didn't see me." With an uh, after every word.

Because it is a sign of sheer stupidity and obliviousness. Logically, there is not a single justification for failing to call the timeout. Not one. Whether or not it would have changed the outcome, the timeout should have been called. The failure to do so just demonstrates how dumb Miles can be. It's just dumb. No other word for it.

EXACTLY. 4 straight losses where the D couldn't get off the field.
Which gives LSU a higher probability of winning?

1. getting the ball back down 3 with no timeouts and 25 seconds left or
2. holding OM to a 3 and out and getting it back tied with 2 minutes left?

I dont think that we had a timeout to call. Espn had an error by showing that we had a time out left. We used our last timeout on 2nd down. Espn took a timeout away from ole miss instead of lsu. It was a mistake by espn
