I haven't been by the stadium since the Tennessee game, and they still only had the first 12 installed then. Have they installed any more since? If not, does anyone know when they're going to install more? I heard they were going to do this over the course of the season. Half the season is over and they sold over half of the windows and they haven't done shite(unless they've installed more since the Tenn game).
Anyone know what the deal is? Think they're just gonna wait to sell em all to finish it or is this just LSU not getting shite done as usual?

I thought they were just going to do those 12 then wait for after the season to do all of the ones that they have sold.

At 2K a window, problems with the mafia have to be delaying progress.

I'm tired of hearing ignorant shite like this. How cheap do you think it is to remove the old window, prepare the opening for an updated window and then install a top of the line hurricane rated window? You must be 8 years old.

i cant take any adult perspective serious when you searched the internet and found it funny that a squirrel would eat candy and thought it fit you.

I've heard reps for LSU on the radio say the goal is the have all of the windows replaced for the 2011 season. The windows that have been replaced to this point are merely to display the drastic difference you'll see in the newly replaced windows with hopes of raising money for the rest. It was never the intention to have them finished for this season.

Someone is a little defensive about their cut. Guilty conscience?

you are correct. My cousin owns a glass shop and we've discussed it. That price may not be a bargain, but it certainly isn't over the top as people here think.

Funny that you ask how much windows cost. I just got an estimate to do 3 big picture windows - each window 84 x 41w for $1800 all in. That includes removal and installation of a new double paned window. 2K per window is very high.

The amount donated per window is not just going toward the cost of purchasing and replacing a window. The remaining money will be used to purchase street lights and fencing that will put up on the north end of the stadium during the offseason.

Replacing the windows in TS isn't even in the same stratosphere as replacing the ones in your house homey.

My father-in-law works for a mill company in Texas and we've discussed this. $2K for what they're putting in is about right considering they're replacing windows that are over 50 years old.

You ever been in those old dorm rooms in the stadium? Those old windows shouldn't cost $2k a piece to replace. Its probably half that much with the remainder going to some other pet project on campus.

Then don't fricking donate. Tired of hearing people bitch about the cost of a window. There are more than just windows LSU is renovating on the exterior of Tiger Stadium.

It's not like it cost them $1000/window, and Alleva is getting drunk with the other 1/2.

Little sensitive about this subject? No one said anything about impropriety with the money, just that the price per window was high.

I am in no way affiliated with LSU besides my measley $100/year donation to TAF, I'm just tired of LSU fans bitching.

Maybe not in this thread, but most other threads created about every day.

you are forgetting about lead paint and asbestos abatement......if you didn't have that to consider, then the cost will drop considerably...
