21-17 : That's what Miles has given us post October at LSU

21 wins and 17 losses when the games matter the most.
Think about that next time someone throws out 110-32.
The man comes up with one central scheme for his personnel every year. This works our great early in the season but as the schedule toughens over the course of the season two things always happen:
1. Les tightens up and reins in the offense if he feels the game will be a battle
2. Other teams dominate us because they have seen film footage of the same exact game plan for 7-8 games and know exactly how to prepare against us come November. Plenty of practice material.
That's pretty much it folks. Miles is afraid to adjust mid-season and terrified to do so in game. The result: playing right into the hands of our opponents towards the end of almost every season.

But that's when LSU plays the toughest opponents...

What does this have to do with F. Franks

We've played 55 games in November under miles?

Saban's biggest strength at LSU was his ability to turn it on and win in November.
Posted on 11/23/15 at 10:01 pm to theunknownknight
yup
winning in november matters
winning in november matters

ohhhhhh i get it. You aren't counting 2005-2007 because those were with Saban's players.

post October... as in November, December, and January?
And his bowl record is 6-4 in bowls, so I'm not exactly helping his total there
Miles is 36-19 post-October at LSU. This thread is inaccurate, but I'm not surprised.

Les Miles was 15-2 in his first three years of November football.
I can remember listening to two LSU fans during halftime of the LSU-Ole Miss game in 2007 clamoring to get him fired.
Fired...when we were the number one ranked team in the nation!!!
It seems like Les haters were calling for his job, even in the brightest of times.

Just in November?
We are 28-14.
LSU is 21-17 in games post-October since the beginning of the 2008 season. So yeah, you forgot Miles was our coach from 2005-2007.
Again, great thread. Solid effort.
