I'm not going to worry about this until it actually happens. It would suck if all this did play out though.
My personal opinion on BK is he will probably go into earlier retirement than he expected. Like Saban, I don't think he likes the NIL era. He's doing a good job recruiting right now but he has passed over a lot of guys chasing money. LSU is getting a lot of players for less too selling other aspects like development for less money. It's not that LSU lacks money or backing, it's that BK decides who he wants and he's choosing less. I'm afraid this is not going to push you towards an avenue of championships in the modern era but they'll continue to give him who he wants.
I get why he does this and it's fine. He doesn't want toxic locker rooms. If their personality doesn't fit with him he's not going to allow them to chase money. Right now though, we're desperate at DT. We will not make the playoffs if they don't fix the defense. Offense will probably be good but it's not unrealistic to think it will be a big step backwards from last year. So while I understand why he does this it's also why you have such a large talent gap in certain spots on LSU's team. He needs to do better at finding a middle ground.

It might've helped if he listed who the insider was on the other boards that said this. Like you said it just comes off as an opinion piece with no actual context to how relevant it is other than his word it came from an inside. Which insider? LSU has a lot of bad "insiders" that seem to be the last to know anything.

The portal is open for 6 more days… a lot more could happen in those 6 days. Especially with tampering being essentially legal now.

LSU not landing a starting DT is an absolute debacle. LSU needed to bring in TWO starting caliber DTs.
