2016 LSU Baseball Projected Starting Lineup

Let's talk baseball again....

Even if you hate me or like to make fun of my insanity, the one thing I love to talk about is LSU Baseball with you all. So here is my projected lineups for this upcoming season.

C: Mike Papierski, So
1B: Bryce Jordan, So
2B: Greg Deichmann, So
SS: Trey Dawson, Fr
3B: Brody Wofford, Fr
RF: Beau Jordan, So
CF: Jake Fraley, Jr
LF: Antoine Duplantis, Fr
DH: Jordan Romero or Bryce Adams - 50/50 split, been going back and forth on this one.

Friday: Alex Lange, So, RHP
Saturday: Jared Poche, Jr, LHP
Sunday: John Valek III, Sr, LHP

Cole McKay, Fr, RHP (He might not be the clear cut Sunday guy until a month or two into the season but before this year is over, he will be a part of the weekend rotation)

Mid-Week Guys
Riley Smith, Jr, RHP - Other possible early Sunday guy now that Godfrey is gone
Alden Cartwright, Jr, RHP
Nick Bush, Fr, LHP

Battle for Closer
- Jesse Stallings, So, RHP
- Parker Bugg, Jr, RHP

2016 Batting Lineup

Either way, lol at a 5'9 guy at first instead of the 6'4 guy who can hit.

I do. He's a stud.

But the gem of this Fr class is Duplantis. Kid can fly and has a great contact swing. Should be leadoff.

Is deichman hitting more consistently? I know that was a knock on him last year

Possibly. I'd put Adam's there though. If Bryce J. sees the field, I think it will be at 3B.

He's still a swing and miss machine. But when he makes contact, it's gone a mile.

This. I think he's in CF by SEC play and Fraley slides back to left.

I agree, Duplantis is more suited for CF.

I see a young young squad, with an awesome pitching staff (possibly best in the nation). Honestly, if we can score 2-4 runs/game, I like our chances. If these young guys can come in and produce at the plate, look out!
