Link to game.

I know it's been discussed before but here is Arandas last game at Wisky.

First thing you notice is the speed difference between the two teams. Aranda did a good job of scheming past that.

Wiskys two ILB are 6'2 230 and 6'0 230. Both rush the passer a lot. Wiskys uses a lot of 3-4 looks in this game due to USCs multiple scheme (announcers said the three inside linemen are mostly two gap to free up plays for the LBs, the teams strongest unit 'also Arandas specialty')

These blitz packages are fun to watch. any given play someone can shoot and it's very disruptive. Makes you excited to see what he can do with the Front 7 he's walking into.

I really do think Aranda could end up being Miles best DC. outside of 2011 chief was always soft against the run and never had a consistent pass rush. Hoping Aranda can change the culture on that side of the ball and bring back the dominant defenses of the past.

Awesome game to watch and I believe with 4 or 5 minutes left in the 3rd quarter, Aranda dials up close to the same blitz 3 times in a row and the same guy has 3 sacks!!!

Yea I went crazy watching that in class and my professor looked at me funny lol. I was so excited because that is exactly what he will do here, but our guys would lay lumber.

1) You were in class on December 30th? 2) Your professor didn't say anything at all after you went "crazy" watching a football game in class? 3) You knew Aranda was coming to LSU on December 30th?

Cichy with three straight sacks. My goodness. So much disguise, confusion created, and tremendous execution.

That is very exciting.

His comments don't mean he went crazy watching it live..

He's watched the replay.. Just like the whole purpose of this thread.

I actually do remember watching this game live though and being incredibly impressed by Aranda. He is the DC I wanted.

Do we have anyone like cichy ? A large part of the aranda scheme is predicated on having very smart players.

Cichy had two career sacks before the 3 sack series and the game ending sack/deflection.

The point of Arandas scheme is trusting everyone to play their role to set up plays by your athletes.

I'm sure the LBs had run pass reads because they were shooting gaps all game and blowing up linemen.

And I don't think Duke Riley is as small as people make him out to be. The other guy starting was the 6'0 230 freshmen.

Is Welter still on the team? I think Beckwith will settle in just fine there

Who's our head coach again? Offensive Coordinator? Not much will change.

Let's not call Wisconsin "Wisky".

Do you slit your wrist when LSU loses a game or is it just a fake internet persona that youre miserable with anything going on with lsu.

Thanks for the bump though

Wisconsin is made up mostly all 2 and 3 Stars. I do not think they have any 5 Stars and only a couple of 4 Stars on the team. The big change for Aranda is the Talent Level is going way up for him!

No doubt that he has a ton more talent to work with now. He will also be scheming against much better talent on a weekly basis in the sec. That being said, I'm ready to see how it plays out.
