I hate preseason rankings. I think they should wait until at least mid season before any rankings come out. I guess it's a good conversation piece until the season starts though.

That's what the selection committee is doing, at least. They'll have a top 25, but won't start until the end of October.

I guess the only think Bama keeps that we lost is their top receiver in Amari Cooper. That aside, we've had equally strong recruiting classes and are both talented but untested, especially under center.

I mean I could really care less bc our schedule is so tough the facts come out eventually. As consistant as LSU is though you would think we should be top 10 every year until proven otherwise. Baylor, Stanford, Ohio, Ucla, even Ga, yes they are good but will not constantly beat LSU and we have earned the right really. Oregon?? Please stop! Really the only weakness if it is one, is our DTs. QB will be fine running game perfectly fine, secondary just wait and see. Line backers I believe this year is the deepest most talented ground as a whole that we have had in a long time. Might surprise lots of people

I know we have depth but they aren't veteran proven studs just yet. I mean it could be a strength who knows what these kids will do? I kinda like our starters I think the kid from BB will be a good one. It's how will Bain, Herron, and I forget the other one but how will they perform? If they perform at all SEC level look out.

5 of the top 20 teams in the poll - 25% - are in the SEC west. This gonna be another frikken brutal conference schedule. SOS for playoff spot should not be a problem.

I guess its better to be under ranked than over ranked, but you have to wonder about the sports media obsession with Notre Dame, Ohio State and USC. The gumps are due for a downgrading this year as well.

Yes at this point in the season it just a crapshoot to rank teams, but I reckon we have to start somewhere and it gives sports guys something to talk about..I'm so ready for some Tiger football!!

With the death of the BCS- the Ohio State, Notre Dame, Penn St, and some PAC 10 school love fest is going to be alive and well. Did I miss anyone?
