On our honeymoon back in 2001, my wife asked me to list things personally and professionally that I would like to see or do before I die. My wife found the list I wrote down while reorganizing outr storage room. #3 on my list was to watch LSU win the national championship in football. Crazy. So many today have no idea how ridiculous it seems to bitch that we aren't winning two or three a decade.

Not that exactly, but along those lines...that's why I only did that one time and never again.

#1 had to do with having a healthy and happy kids. Check.

#2 was to go to Omaha with my dad to watch LSU. Check with a cherry on top.

***Anal and two women was checked off my list as a young man. My high school girlfriend was a freak.

My first semester at LSU was 1992. I grew up going to games with my dad, so I got to experience LSU winning and going to bowl games. By the time I was a student, winning seemed impossible and bowl games even moreso. Winning the National Title was a pipe dream. I remember sitting in the student section for the 1993 Florida game watching LSU get absolutely destroyed by Florida thinking that I more than likely saw LSU at its best point as a kid and would never again see that. That's what made 2003 so special for me personally.
