2 seed and travel to regional...

Germans....BUT, at this point, is this what will happen no matter what we do from here on?
From prior threads, NO WAY LSU hosts a regional even winning this tournament?

I'm sorry, but right now, the way this team is playing, I like our chances to host more and more w/ every Ole Miss out.

LSU was the #8seed a few years back and we didnt even make the tourney. Soo being a #1seed is ridiculous.

I think there were some behind the scenes play at work though for this. gave us a chance to fire Smoke. the 9th team, State, made the tourny that year.

I think you are wrong. LSU WILL HOST a reginal if they win this tourney. Its Alex Box and the tradition and attendence will be a factor.

8th place team in the SEC will not host. No matter how well they are playing today.

It is NOT all about money anymore. This is NOT 1997, when LSU could simply write a check and buy a regional. It is much more merit-based now. There are many more facilities capable of hosting now. Our "bid package" doesn't mean nearly what it used to because there are just more players out there. This "we are LSU, we deserve to host" mentality will hopefully end tomorrow when the sites are announced and we are not one.

dont think for a second that the NCAA is hoping LSU gets to the SECc game.
