Can a 2 QB system work? Start B.Harris and bring in Etling as a change of pace. Or vice versus due to the fact that Etling absolutely deserves to play. Etling allows the offense to be dangerous TE's RB's as well as WR are all options while he is on the field. The RB screen was executed very well last night

frick a 2 qb system. 04 may have been the worst year of my life in terms of watching LSU.

I say start Etling. If he struggles, insert another QB, maybe BH or ??

I've never understood why coaches are so hesitant to play the 2nd string players when the 1st string guy is struggling.

Everyone has a bad game. When I played basketball I had a few games where I couldn't hit my shot. Coach should sit my arse down and give me a chance to analyze what I'm doing wrong IMO...

Right, he did say or vice versa.. so if Etling struggles bring in Harris.

idk though. i prefer one qb be the guy, however it can be successful in college... this isn't the pros

People laughed at the idea a few weeks ago when it was mentioned, mainly saying Etling couldnt play QB because he was Purdue's scraps. I honestly think that would be a workable option. Look at the UT vs Notre Game game from last week. Bring Harris in on the obvious running plays. Spread the field with Harris, Guice, and Fournette. No one can argue that Harris can make plays with his feet. Spreading the field with three great runners is hard to defend. The read option would shred teams. On the other hand, Etling showed he can go through his progressions and hit recievers. I think a 2 qb system would work if it wasnt micromanaged by Les. At the very least, try it till it doesnt work. Quit looking down the road to other games and try to dominate the one you are playing in.

Make no mistake about it B. Harris has the arm to get it done. His problem is confidence, accuracy, and decision making. Sometimes seeing the game from the sidelines helps.

Please do not start BH. Please don't say that miles might be reading this.

That's sort of a lot of problems for a QB.

Any team tells me they have a 2 QB system tells me they have no QB!

It's a 3 QB system. If Miles wouldn't have gone conservative, McMillan would have led us to a score at the end.

What's the point? The only difference Harris could POSSIBLY offer is the threat to run, and he just doesn't do that anymore. Stick with what works.

Just the mere threat of a pass will make the running game so much better.

Harris doent give us that, Etling does.

He is labeled a dual threat but we don't use him to run. So, technically we are only using half of his talent and that aspect of his talent is lacking at this point.

Is it possible that Etling is a gun slinger with nothing to lose and B.Harris is handcuffed to run the offense a certain type of way. A coach that loves ball control hates a gun slinger and will play a QB that will not take chances only safe throws. Etling goes in an rips it and thats why D.Smith caught his first TD in 4 years.

I don't like to do this but, that is ridiculous. Harris is more of a "gunslinger". He just throw the ball regardless of triple coverage. Etling actually looked like he was "running the " offense.

Part of the problem is we run WAY TO MANY low percentage long pass plays.

Etling is smarter, calmer, throws better, reads the defense better, has better pocket presence, and apparently scrambles better. What advantage do you think Harris gives this team and in what situation?
