The reason I remember that year so well is that it was my first year discovering football and LSU and I was a sponge :)
Just off top of my head, here from memory is the schedule that year:
35-6 A&M
42-0 Rice
63-8 Baylor
20-0 @Miami
37-10 Kentucky
21-20 Auburn (my 1st game EVER at DV)
23-26 @ Ole Miss
20-15 ala-shame-a
61-6 Miss.State
27-0 Tulane

Wish I could find the kid that went with us to that Oct 25 1969 Auburn game. All I remember is that he was related to the State Trooper who gave my Dad the tickets. His name might have been Tamburello and he was about 10 or 12 in Oct 1969 and we picked him up in LaPlace...
