15-16 LSU Basketball non-conf schedule

I see where LSU just agreed to a 4 year series with Houston. This led me to look at who else LSU is playing in the OOC portion of the schedule. Wow! Things don't look that much better than the first 3 years under Jones. Especially games at the PMAC
Currently, LSU seems to be doing their best to compile a shitty OOC schedule
2 games against two of these 3 teams in Brooklyn (Marquette, Arizona State and N.C. State) That's the good.
Preceded by 2 home games against 2 of this group of juggernauts (South Alabama, Belmont, Kennesaw State and IUPUI) as part of the Brooklyn tournament. (Hopefully Belmont is one of them)
It likely won't be S. Alabama though because they are already on LSU's schedule separate from the Brooklyn tournament.
If that's not enough excitement, LSU also plays Wake Forest and Gardner-Webb at home. They also make a trip to the always difficult College of Charleston!!!
That's 9 of a possible 13 OOC games. You have to think that LSU is going to play at least 1 or 2 in-state schools. So we're probably looking at 2-3 more games to fill out the non-conf. The Big 12 opponent should be good, but you have to hope that there are some other power-conf teams they are looking to schedule, don't you?
Next season is probably the most anticipated season in over 10 years. With that, currently the best home game in Nov./Dec. will either be Blemont or Wake Forest. I'm not saying that LSU needs to bring in Duke, Louisville, UNC. But come on! With what is currently on the schedule they are almost guaranteeing the PMAC will be dead until January

Excuse me if I missed this because quite frankly I just skimmed your obvious negative post.
But I saw nothing about the sec / big 12 challenge nor anything about the more than probable home game versus Memphis this year either.
ETA I see you briefly mentioned that game.
Not sure what more you want.
Nc state
Arizona
Wake forest
Top tier big 12 opponent
Memphis
And a much improved sec league
We cant schedule 10 good teams outta 13 then you're in jeopardy of fricking your tournament seed.
What we need to do is quit scheduling schools with RPIs higher than 200. That scews us.
But I think the schedule has a good balance of power 5 and cream puffs. Ideally, give me one more power 5 and more middle tier teams and eliminate any team we know will kill our rpi even with a win.

Maybe our shitty fans should go to see LSU.

Time to pay back UH for that loss ithe final four year

Memphis will likely be coming to the PMAC and LSU will probably get a home game against a top big 12 team. They have also been hinting at another game against a name team, so hopefully it will end up being a good non-conference schedule when its all said and done.

McNeese St. is already on the schedule for the first game of the season. Should be only 3 slots left.

Damn, that game was painful...that kid from UH air balled one of his first shots, then went off for 30+ while everyone kept chanting air ball each time he touched the ball.
ETA - that was also the game where Tyrus started to come out of his shell.

Tough place to play, it is one of those small colleges that really cares about its basketball program.
I believe we lost to either them or Charleston a few years back.
But they are really down, good game and atmoshphere though.

Alt, I'm going to ask you a favor. Stop posting about LSU basketball because you're a negative little bitch all the time

AT College or Charelston?
That is not your average LSU non Conf series. I like it! Amazing town and a great baseball school.

We lost at coastal Carolina a few years back.

When you add a top 10 big 12 team and Memphis I think that's a pretty damn good OoC schedule. I don't want to play all top 25 teams... That's too much. Having 3 or 4 good teams and some mediocre teams is perfect.
