Damn, that is the part I like most about tailgating... Getting there early, setting everything up and cooking.....

if you are coming down from NYC, don't waste your time with this. Walk around campus, you will get your fill of food and drinks. Its more fun to see everyones tailgating setups. Bring a cheap disposable icechest that you can carry around and throw away for walking beers, but you probably dont even need that.

True. The OP said he is a big LSU fan making his first trip down here for the Florida game. He, along with 6 or 7 other New York City firefighters, will be making the trip. I'm sure Tiger fans will make sure they have plenty to eat and drink.

If you make it known you are from NY and there for your first game etc. etc. that is good advice.

On the other hand, while people are friendly enough, it's not like walking around gets you invited to eat and drink.

Or maybe it is just me.

true...only place they seem to recruit you to tailgate with them is the grove. Or maybe it is just me.
