Because a) you have two quality starters b) it was probably planned out already c) you know your defense played mediocre in the first half (compared to their normal efforts) and will get it together d) to put a little pressure on JJ in case we actually need him.

I'm thinking Miles knew he had this one and wanted to get JJ some more meaningful snaps. He did OK that drive, then Lee saved it a bit. The 99 yarder (albeit, mostly running plays) was very good. Only one more game until Bama. Need JJ to be ready for the action.

Because the game was never in doubt and it continued to let JJ get some more game time to get reacclimated to the team and game speed. Also because we scored a TD on it.

I did think about that angle
He played pretty good running the ball, overall did a good job. I am hoping he continues to hang on to the football running hard like he does

JJ didn't impress me throwing today however..

He did drive the ball from our 34 to their 25. And it was a 3rd and 4 when Lee came in; not exactly a terrible position.
