True, but Hattiesburg weather is sketchy. I would not mind a cancellation. Haha

Feel like if its Tennessee its going to be the 6pm. If its Southern Miss feel like it'll be 1 PM.

LSU will be playing Saturday. Just a question of CWS Game 3 or Game 4. We will know for sure within 24 hours.

This has never come in to play. It’s logical that would be the schedule, but
it isn’t always

I agree.

The hope from the TV perspective is that you capture viewers outside of just fans of the individual teams. LSU and Tennessee are "brand" names. Wake Forest, even though they are the #1 team, is not as big a brand as LSU and Tenn. So that's why I think LSU/TN would be the night game.

However, if the matchup is LSU v USM, I think that will almost certainly be the day game as USM is a very regional "brand"...being the 3rd most recognized school in their own state...which itself is one of the least recognized states in the US.

You are neglecting that they might be matched up vs the bluest of blue bloods in Texas. Our star power with Crews and Skenes is what likely lands us primetime if we get it.

Would love to see where you're getting this confirmation. It would of course make zero sense NOT to be this way, but everything online (including this Warren Nolan link) has bracket 1 playing Friday.

LINK

I would still bet money that UVA plays Friday and LSU Saturday, but for some inane reason the NCAA can't confirm that yet. Which of course makes it nearly impossible to confirm travel plans.

FACT

They will play Saturday for sure, it's already confirmed that LSU/Wake/(Stan/Texas) (Tenn/USM) will start Saturday.

Oral Roberts, TCU, Florida, Virginia will start Friday.

LSU's 1st opponent in Omaha has yet to be determined. Their game has been delayed, and may be played late tonight and possibly tomorrow.

UVA is playing Friday and LSU will play Saturday.

Bracket 2 sure looks a ton more favorable...but to win it I guess you gotta beat someone at somepoint tougher than the others.

Yes, I'm aware there are 2 more games that are being played tonight. But on the NCAA's official website, LSU, Wake, and the other two are shown as "bracket 1."

Again, I would love to see where that has been confirmed as a "fact" that the teams listed in bracket 1 play on Saturday. It should be common sense that's the case, but there has been no official word and all the online schedules still show bracket 1 playing Friday.

LSU is listed in "Bracket 1" because they're in the same bracket as the #1 overall seed.

NCAA screwed the pooch when they gave Wake, LSU, etc. the Sat-Mon Super Regionals.

In 2016, UF was the #1 overall seed, likely in Bracket 1 when the initial bracket came out, but their Super Regional was Sat-Mon. They needed 3 games to decide the winner. Their bracket switched to Bracket 2 once Supers were over and opened in Omaha on Saturday.

Looks like the same thing happened in 2018. UF was #1 overall on the left side (bracket 1 SR) but are in bracket 2 for CWS. Link to 2018 bracket.

What are the next games after the Saturday evening game? Meaning what is the winners game and losers game?
