This has been the biggest difference between this year and last year.
Harris has played damn near perfect football.
3 TDs and 0 Turnovers in 2 SEC games to compliment Fournette's 6 TDs
He has been unlucky to say the least with his (very) limited downfield throws between Dupre's drops, the refs taking one away and a dumb penalty on the long TD to Dural...but those will come in time.

Agreed, great Stat line, I truly hope it continues.

Unfortunately, he isn't averaging 265/game in the air.
Alabama threw the ball 45 times last night. No reason LSU can't do the same thing. Harris will need the experience, so Miles should have thrown the ball at least 10 more times

He will need solid reps before the Bama game. Hopefully by the time he plays USCe, he becomes more accurate with timing and better vision. The good thing about Harris, as opposed to our qb situation in 2011 is that he's a much better runner and read option qb.

We lean on the running game, sprinkle in the pass, and bring BH along and develop more of his game. The development is looking good - uses his feet, strong throws, and learning defenses.

The throw to Dural was jaw dropping awesome.
Harris this year is off to a great start with plenty of upside as he gets more experience.

He's enough of a threat to pass to keep a defense honest, and I think he starts airing it out more starting with Syracuse.

Thanks for the jinx.

Throughout the next stretch of our schedule he will get practice and confidence. We have to have a more balanced approach. GA's QB was effective yesterday and that allowed their RBs to eat it up and visa versa.
I really believe that Harris will be developed by November. There is a gauntlet waiting and LF7 would probably appreciate holes opening. I know he can flick defenders off his shoulder and it makes for a really great highlight reel but think how much easier it would be if the box was not stacked every play.
I think BH6 is really doing a lot of things right. He is miles ahead of AJ at this time last year. His handling of that botched snap from Pocic yesterday was masterful and did not get the credit, in my opinion, that it deserved. He is going to be great.
I can't wait to see the recruits at other positions who want to be on our 2016 team. SICK GOOD!

Since we survivied the early test and we now have Syracuse, Eastern Michigan, South Carolina, Florida, and Western Kentucky before we get to Bama, we'll be fine. The only thing that might keep us from throwing it more is LF and crew are rushing for 50yd+ TDs every drive and that will be a good problem to have.
