Says Les Miles. I guess he has no love lost for Jamarcus who was nothing if not a pure passer. Flynn was a game manager who could run and pick up the key pass - not a pure passer by any means.

Fail in every way. Flynn succeeded JR as the starter. Since he left no one has come close to his consistant performance as a game manager or passer. He's in the N.F.frickin L.dude. Yeah he's a pure passer. Had much better touch on fades and intermediate routes than J.R.

why are you even trying to argue against Flynn, the dude won us a national championship. His only two losses were games where our defense gave up 50 points.

Scott had like 90 yds and 2 TDs in the 1st half and got about 3 carries after that including OT

Flynn definitely wasn't a game manager.

A) He threw the deep pass quite often from what I remember (especially compared to the last two seasons)

B) Threw a fair number of picks and tds

C) Is the back up quarterback for the Green Bay Packers, thus, proving he is a little more than a simple college game managing qb.

Disagree with 2 points. Hes not a good pure passer according to N.F frinkin L coaches. Mediocre arm not able to make all throws consistently. Better touch I guess Ill give that one to you even though just your opinion. Yes JJ has come close but still not experienced enough or with the quality tools Flynn had.

SFP = Matt Flynn evaluation :FAIL: as usual.

MF is one injury away from being the starting QB for the Green Bay Packers. If he sucked so much, I doubt the braintrust there would have that much confidence in him. JR = NFL :fail: at all levels so far. If he were to get on a decent team with good coaching and blocking, he might be better, but so far he has shown zero ability to overcome adversity and succeed in the NFL.

What does any of that have to do with how good they were in college?

"flynn has an odd legacy. Overrated as frick by some and undervalued by another segment.

the truth lies somewhere in the middle"

I think this about says it all

Could you guys miss the boat any further than if it was never put in the water to begin with?

The point is that Miles was trying to compliment this kids ability to pass the football. He wants Lee to pass up (no pun intended) a shot at pro baseball for now, and play football and baseball for LSU. He needs to publicly state how he feels about this kid as a QB. He wants him to stick with LSU. He is still recruiting this kid, because of his 90 mph fastball.

I don't think you should try and read anything more into this statement than that. Mr. Gilbert has a pretty good arm on him too....but he is already at LSU. He is just still recruiting Lee.

Jefferson will get benched and NEVER see the field again. It is not If but when. He better not even crack a fingernail and miss time or he loses this job. Lets be honest, he wasn't brought in to be a starter anyway. Can he throw, yes. Is he the best on this team at passing, no, no ,no, no, no. Mentally limited but physically more athletic.

It will end and order will be restored.

I can't tell if you're joking or not. If joking, you're not that funny. If serious, GTFO.

Wow. That's a horrible post.

He actually said that "This o-line has the potential to be the best I've had during my tenure at LSU."

And no one had seen this year's o-line before. There is plenty of film of Lee slinging the ball around in high school. There is actual evidence to make an argument for Lee, unlike some opinion about the o-line.

This. Miles won't stop recrruiting this guy until after the MLB draft. I don't see a QB as good as Lee next year that we have a great shot at, so keeping ZL is a bust.
