Well he would be an upgrade from what we have now which is nothing.

He didn't have very good talent at U of L. He has HC experience and he is a 'values' kind of coach. That is what Miles tends to look for.

You could have listed Drew Henson and I would have been okay with him over Crowton, tbh

What about Major Applewhite - He is from Baton Rouge - granted he is at his alma mater now, but only as Assistant Head Coach/Running Backs Coach and Will Muschamp is there as coach in waiting so it looks to be a dead end job

Give him a raise and the title of assistant head coach/qb coach - might work

chance for LM to make a big recruiting hire, hopefully someone w/ strong TX ties

WHile I understand your sentiment. Maybe a really good TE coach with alot of OL experience, hint, hint.

But we also are in need of someone to bring our QBs along, but maybe that would be too many cooks with Crowton and Gonzalez already.

I would prefer Gonzales coach Tes too to Crowton coaching the QBs.

Get someone with OL experience as that is the major problem.

Damn it! The guy with one post stole my idea. Gonzo should have the Florida ties. Major should have Texas and Alabama ties for recruiting purposes. Probably a decent QB coach. Could maybe coach QB's and TEs.

QB coach with Texas ties for recruiting / TE coach who has experience with OL coaching too......

There are several ways Miles could go that would really help here. If Les makes a good hire here, I might actually start to be optimistic for next year.

Wasn't Miles a TE coach with the Cowboys? He can hire a good QB coach and lend a hand helping coach the TE's.

Has anyone checked on Egg? He hasn't posted in this thread and with Yano leaving there's no telling what kind of reaction he will have.

Does anyone know approximately what contribution he added to the recruiting efforts? It does seem our TE's werte forgotten in our offensive scheme last year.
