They are rated higher than we are, but I think I like our class a lot more than theirs.

They have a lot of JUCO kids in there, which they need to restock the cupboard, but you only get half of the utility out of those players.

Players of note -

Cam Newton - Major character risk, but insane talent upside if Chizik can put the reigns on him.

Shon Coleman - Tons of rumors about him wanting to switch, but a mountain of a man. He'll need a redshirt to get into playing shape, IMO

Mike Dyer - I'm jealous and so is every other school in the nation. Petrino should be fired for missing on him.

Reed - Been discussed ad nauseum.

Bonomolo - JUCO that got passed on by LSU

Ladarius Owens - Stud LB would definitely like him.

Sorry if it's random, just was poking around there class.

I really like their class. They did a great job of meeting their needs.

Not sure about trading it straight up.

Yes, we should trade them player for player and coach for coach.

I wonder with the Keenan Allen situation if that puts Auburn over Alabama in the ratings?

That would be quite funny to me. Only out of spite because I hate Bama fans on recruiting boards.

On the offensive side I don't know, but I like some of the defensive guys they got.

Our class is much better. Obviously would have liked Dyer but our class is nice. Wish we could have had some more DTs but we will rack up next year.

I think I would rather see AU finish above BAMA in the final rankings than LSU.

For further confirmation, this wasn't meant to be a flame on AU, just a relative assessment of where our class stands.

Similar to Bama's, slightly better than AU's, nowhere near UF's.

We were similar to BAMA last year, slightly better than UF's and AU was nowhere near us.

Next year we should be what UF is this year, untouchable.

We are still recruiting top notch.

If they sign Lattimore? Yes would trade them straight up. W/O Lattimore- probably. BAMA having an in-house meltdown over Aubie recruiting class.

I like their class better than ours.

Just based on the little bit of film, I'd put Bonolomo over Ken Adams.

Whitaker is the type of player for some reason Chavis isn't recruiting at DT, a plugger.

Reed should be here.

And I don't agree with the downplaying of Jucos. Bama got their starting left tackle Andre Smith replacement out of Juco last year in Carpenter, a year after they got Cody. I don't know what to think of Newton, but tons of schools were after that OT Gayden that got, and he's expected to start.

I'm not putting down a JUCO as an individual...but when you start building classes off of them it's a lot harder to remain stable because you keep having more turnover from only having 2 year players. I don't mind 1 or 2 JUCOs in a class but when you start getting around 5 I thin kthat's too much.

I think Auburn is already ahead of bama. If Auburn gets Lattimore, that should put them at #3 in the nation and seal the deal. Regarding bama, it all depends on who they bring in tomorrow...if they get Kouandjio (USC or bama), Stone (UT or bama), and some other big name who escapes me now.

Whether they do in fact finish ahead of bama or not, this has been the most impressive recruiting class I have seen at Auburn.

This competition could head into next year as well because all the aubbies and gumps agree that the state of Alabama is probably as stacked as ever with talent.
