also, the Florida game hinged on an offense holding play on which they scored their only TD. The fumble later was OUT, nose touching the ground, with P P jumping up and down.

Ah well. Next time.

LSU actually got screwed by the refs in EACH of their loses...

UF - like you said (above)

Bama - PP interception (video-proof, no arguing)

Ole Miss - 2 extra seconds click off after Toliver's knee is down at the Rebel 6-yard line, down by two and would've had time to spike the ball (again, video-proof, no arguing)

Penn State - BS personal foul call on Lyle Hitt with LSU marching into field goal range down by 2 points at the end of the game.

Hey, JYD f u!!!
Go be a fan of another school. You know, the one that wins their confrence every year and plays in the bcs every year. I am so tired of the mentality of some on this board. I am surprised that after a GREAT day for LSU in recruiting you have to revert back to this belly ache routine.
It is like if the Tigers win people like you complain that the crowd at the softball game was not as vocal as you think they should have been.
Jeez, go have a beer. Today is a great day to be an LSU TIGER fan.

heard it from a coach

from my understanding reed had an offer from LSU for many months and it wasnt untill davis and hunter jumped shite did we go after fobbs, boone and williams.

reed could have easily switched during this process and thus maybe LSU not needing one or two of the other guys.

its was reed's choice and now its reed's lose and LSU's gain w/ fobbs, boone, wright etc. and he earned every tigerbait he gets. gluck to him

I call BS on this one. He had gotten much closer to the Auburn staff over the last several months than LSU. Bottom line. That's what did it.

And we were a Chad Jones blocked pass away from losing to Ms St. And a GA penalty away from possibly another loss. Easily could have lost to Ark too.
OM was not even close except for the score.Penn St slapped us around too.
Let's not get into what could have been. We had more than our share of luck and breaks this past year.

you guys steadily dragging this guys name through the mud.

Let the kid go to Auburn. Who gives a shite? He handled the process the right way. Good luck to him...and you guys that keep accusing him of being scared of competition and hates La. blah blah blah.....

get a life. ...and some class while you're at it.

This is dead on. He was all Auburn and remained that way. He didn't lead LSU on in my opinion. Good luck to the kid except when we see him each season.

I do not believe for one second that Boone, Wright or Williams could have influenced Reed because none of them are slot guys. Maybe Fobbs, but Reed is supposed to be better than Fobbs.

I think that's right. We currently have 9 returning players listed at WR, and 2 of those are walk-ons. Counting Mo Claiborne as a hybrid WR/DB, and making him the utility wideout, there are otherwise 2-deep at Split, Flanker and Slot. Reed could have competed for playing time behind Shepard in the slot as a true freshman.

As it is, I think that Fobbs and Williams will redshirt and either Wright or Boone will play as a freshman (and perhaps both).

Amen to this. I'm not knocking the kid for going where he felt was right. This is especially true if the reports about McCarthy's mismanagement of the #1 player in the state are true. We expended much more effort on McKnight, and we had much better chances with Reed.

Can you guys give it already!

We just had another great recruiting class with a group of great young men and here you all are still rehashing last year.

Next year is a new year and everyone has a shot at it all over again some more than others but that is why they play the games.

I like LSU's chances a lot better than Auburn's because I am an LSU fan and I believe LSU is just as good if not better than all the rest.
