Are defensive end recruits currently committed to LSU.

Is a defensive tackle that is considered by some to be an LSU lean at this time.

We are also continuing to recruit Lorenzo Carter and Malik McDowell, also defensive end recruits, as well as Breeland Speaks. Both McDowell and Speaks could play inside in certain schemes.

The 2013 class included a fairly large number of defensive linemen including:

Tashawn Bower, DE 6'5" 241

Frank Herron, DE 6'5" 260

Christian Lacouture, DE 6'5" 270

Lewis Neal, DE 6'1" 232

Michael Patterson, DE 6'3" 230

Maquedius Bain, DT 6'3" 308

Greg Gilmore, DT 6'4" 275

The team can't sign a ton of D-line every single year. We had a huge haul last year, and still will have a good haul this year. Every year isn't going to be the same. The depth that's shaping up will begin to show dividends this year and next.

Keep telling yourself that. Going pro isn't the same as going pro in a higher round. You just might get there from a smaller school but major programs with history can influence the round you get drafted in. book it! That means dollars ARE affected.
