Why is LSU still mentioned with Arch?

Read an article this morning that was basically about Arch dropping Clemson from his list of schools. Don’t feel like linking, shite article anyway.
Point is, reports continue to suggest LSU is in the mix even though Arch, nor any Manning, has mentioned LSU when talking about his potential landing spots. So why do media types continue to put LSU “in the mix”? We all know a Manning will not go to LSU.

the thing that's annoying about all of it, we all know he's not coming here, they know he's not coming here, but all of them will say what a huge loss it was for LSU and a huge win for *insert school here*

This is what chaps my arse about the whole thing. The media will drum it up like he snubbed LSU when the kid will never even consider LSU. It’ll be spun as some major deal to make LSU look bad.

Arch only considering lsu cause he is an Louisiana citizen, just a hat on the table is about it. Will be Georgia or Ole miss on signing day from what am hearing

Don’t think it drags into February unless they want to see what Kiffin does next year. Think it’s down to Ole Miss and Georgia, but wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up at Bama.

It should and shouldn’t chap your arse that a family that grows up in Nola won’t even consider the home state team that’s 60 miles away because Papa taught his kids to absolutely loathe LSU.

Arch was a pretty big LSU fan. Wire LSU gear a lot in that 2019 season and went to national title game in LSU gear I’m pretty sure.
But he’s still not going to LSU. And that’s ok.

It looks like Kelly has offered every QB in the top 20. Nuss will get PT this season and Walker Howard plans on redshirting. Is Arch good enough to be out Nuss/Howard?
