i think thats the problem we are having now. LSU went after big fish such as manuel, gary, burns, blacklock, oliver, davis etc. we didn't get any of them. we slow played giles, martin, taylor etc. then, it seems like we couldn't decide who we really wanted first between giles and martin. it would be really bad to lose them both when we have spots for both.

No that makes sense best of luck to him but I don't know how a st sug kid who is legit wouldn't want to be apart of #1 class

Didn't really slow-play Taylor. That recruitment has been as opaque as any this year. Staff pushed for his commitment early and often, and only after months did they shift focus to Manuel and others.

Texas also has plenty of playing time available for DT. They dont have much there right now and are desperate for dline help.
I also find it hard for a four star st aug kid to go to Texas but who knows. Texas has a kid from st aug from last year.
They are putting the full court press on him, and i havent heard much about what lsu is doing.

That's exactly how I feel about DCG. Has anyone even gone to visit this guy at all after Wilson left? Did Frank even visit this guy?
I'd love to see him in more P&G, but there seems to be little interest on our end for this guy.

Danny, do kids really think it's a negative being asked late to be in the #1 recruiting class?
Of course it's easier for TX, very few top commits at the position and easier to play means "WE SUCK, come here and play. BTW, not sure if the staff will be here if we lose again"

I might be thrown off by coming into the same class with Rashard Lawrence, Ed Alexander, and Glen Logan too..
