He wanted to play RB, LSU wanted him to play LB.

Yeah, pretty Germans, but you seem nice enough.

I'm sure there are some other theories, but I believe we just had some other backs higher on our list. I think Pratt and Ford (as well as lacy) are better than he is.

He wanted to commit on Junior Day but coaching staff made him hold off so they could explain what they were recruiting him as--which was LB!!
He only wants to tote the rock so he cooled on us--wish him the best of luck!!

He didnt look good in the all star game either.

Im glad we passed but if he knew whats was best for him, he would make the switch to LB.

With Mississippi State changing offensive styles, he might run the ball about as much as Emmanuel Moody has at Florida. They just signed nine receivers.

Did you see him in the UA or AA game? Not very impressive, seems like the coaches knew what they were after in rb's and it wasn't him. Might have made a pretty good lb, but we may never know.

Isn't that what Saban thought about Brandon Jacobs?

yeah, although I don't think Connor is as good a running back as Jacobs or would have been as good a linebacker as Jacobs. Connor is stiff with poor lateral movement, that wouldn't translate well to the defensive side of the ball.

I don't know how much personal contact we had with him, but we looked at him pretty hard until the end of the season.

I don't say anything negative about him because the game I saw was a rain-slop, and he never got more than one chance due to field conditions and the game situation.

He could be under the radar somewhat... but no one seems to be complaining about LSU's interest from any standpoint I've heard.

I'll definitely be interested in how he does at MSU.

Not true at all. He never wanted to be a Tiger. EVER!!! He doesnt like LSU and would only consider playing for LSU as a RB. This is from one of his really close friends I talked to.

I agree. I think he was extremely overrated. He ran way to high and wasnt extremely fast. I was just correcting the previous poster that said Connor tried to commit.

Good poster my arse!! How can you say the kid is overrated?? You dipshit he ran wild the entire year and has more balance and power than any back I've seen in this area! Run too high? YES,but the kid's a player but just didn't fit into LSU's plan, that's all!!
And it's fricking ridiculous to judge a high school kid on the 2 or 3 carries he gets in an all star game! I guess the smart posters are done since NSD--I should do the same!!

As for Rebel's lie about Conner not wanting to go to LSU--you are a real retard!
I've known Carr for year's and you are clearly NOT in anyone's KNOW--so STFU and quit lying on a kid just cause he don't go to WM--and I'm a WM fan!!
