He's not talking about that play. He's talking about a pass that the kid caught out of bounds in the endzone. Personally I think he played that well, squeezing the guy and giving the QB nowhere to throw it.

Something that he came across the field...

But anyway... if you say he isn't a 5 star based on one time being beat.. AT the Corner position!!:

You know nothing about football anyway

He was great running back kickoffs and punts, very fast and quick. Could be the great wide receiver we've been needing, if he doesn't play DB. Was standout in the AA game. Seals-Jones dropped passes, we may have got the better player .

Man, between White and Seals-Jones? We definitely got the best player. I had no idea about either before the game, but White looked legitimate, and RSJ not only looked terrible, he looked like a pu%#*! There's no cure for that last one.

Thanks, jdg. It would be nice if you'd keep the ad hominim attacks on the Rant, though.

Different play. On the one I referred to his man did a go up the sidelines, White used good technique keeping the receiver behind him and watching the QB, but got outrun. The ball was overthrown and incomplete. It was probably a sign that he's used to high school receivers with which he can run 3/4's speed and not get burnt.

Jesus Christ, roi! That's not what I said. Can you read? I didn't take exception to the idea that White might be a five star. I argued with a guy who said that if White's not a five star no one else is.. Only an LSU homer would have this opinion. If you continue arguing please argue that point.

Only thing we can complain on about this kid is that he was beat on a pass that wasn't even caught

Eventhough you said he MAY get 5 stars, you DOUBT he is worth it....

And seriously, You are complaining on an overthrow....

But a question, Was he playing off to bait the QB?? Or was he clearly lost in trailing the guy??

If he was confident in his own speed, he could have been baiting the QB

How does the DB know it's going to be an overthrow?

Also, I'm confident in his speed. I'm perfectly confident that if he let's an elite WR get deeper than him he has no chance of making up for it with speed - not on a good throw.

Also, I'm not complaining. Just saying I saw several deficiencies in TW. I saw a lot of good things, too. When I put them all together I'm of the opinion that Rivals has him ranked perfectly - a 6.0, almost a 5 star. What I didn't see was his camp performances and his practice sessions. That's a lot more data than what I did see. Ultimately, that's what they should rank him on. What gives me the most optimism is that the coaches decided to use him in a variety of ways.

Incorrect.

quote:

White didnt get beat, wr who caught that Td was not his man.... In fact, go back and watch, white covered an absurd amount of ground to even get close to making a play on that ball.

This is correct. White came from across the field. Safety was burned.
