I have a feeling he is another one and done, although I think he would be great for the Tigers, guarantee this one comes down to a California school or Kentucky

Who's to say he would really even want to come to LSU? Fair or not, LSU fans would judge him against his father. Shaq was a monster at LSU and remains a legend here. It would be a lot of pressure on that kid to live up to his father's ghost.

The only coach for whom Shaq would send his son to LSU sits four rows behind center court at every home game.

Shaq has more money than LSU. He has more money than LSU boosters. The amount teams pay for players wouldn't even cover the Christmas bonus for his lawn crew and house-cleaning staff.

Before any other income, before endorsement money, his salary as a host of TNT's Inside the NBA, his various businesses and investments (including being a minority owner of the Kings), before all of that, Shaquille O'Neal made $292 million as an NBA player.

It never seems to amaze me how moronic some of the people who call themselves fans and what they post on this site.

Do you think Shaquille would at least encourage him to give his alma mater a shot if the program improves?

Shaq has earned around $600m in his career.. I doubt cash will be a deciding factor.

yeah I'm sure a guy worth around $350 million will be blown away but a suitcase filled with cash. His son probably already has his own briefcase filled with cash for "walkin around money".

Although S hareef O'Neal is just a junior, would hope to see LSU become a challenger to land him. Do you think Shaquille would at least encourage him to give his alma mater a shot if the program improves?

He has already expressed interest in LSU, and I would assume the reason he was/is leaning UK is because of our ex coach. Now, I think he is all LSU.

I hope Shaq convinces Shareef to wait till the spring signing period to see what Coach Wade has to offer. He seems like the kind of coach that Shaq wants for his son, to teach him discipline, attention to detail, etc. Either Smart or O'Neal can sign anywhere in the country, and the one&done factories of UK, UCLA, Duke etc. will all be calling. If either Javonte Smart or Shareef O'neal sign in the fall, they gone.
