Ohio State taking 2 from the Texas Top 10, and it looks like they'll end up with 3, not to mention the top player is going to Stanford. Going down just outside of the Texas Top 10 on 247 I see Michigan with huge leads on some guys and Arizona State as well. What the hell is going on?

Texas is down, and A&M absolutely pissed on the fire they had in momentum from switching to the conference and a Heisman winner. A few years ago I was really worried about A&M being a problem with their facilities and being in Texas with UT being down, but boy did they frick that up.

Pretty simple. All the Texas schools suck.

But still, you would think location would matter. I guess recruiters didn't dare come into Texas before because they didn't think it would result in much, but now they're definitely making inroads. Good thing LSU only depends on a few guys here or there from Texas.

1. Texas is stuck in the Big 12 and no elite player wants to play in that dumpster fire. Iamagine your big away games are at Ames, Lawrence, Lubbock, Manhatten, and Morgantown. Dumpster fire stadiums and fan bases.

2. Sumlin is lazy and fat and lazy.

Then the other 95% of your time is in Austin, TX???

I'm convinced kids don't go to conferences, they sign at SCHOOLS.

The SEC bias needs to stop. If the SEC was so great, more of these Texas kids would go to the SEC instead of going all the way up north to Ohio State and Michigan.

The SEC is good, but kids are definitely not going to LSU because of the SEC. Hopefully they go to LSU because of LSU.

WINNING and playing for NC's solves everything

From 2001 - 2009 UT owned Texas in recruiting

You win 5-6 games per season and your recruiting will suffer big time. It happened to LSU from 1989 - 1995 during parts of the Archer, Hallman, Dinardo years

Damn. Stanford is getting a monster 5* OT. Kid must really value academics, because he could go anywhere in the country with that size and skill. Good get for Stanford.

Didn't realize until I went back and looked again that he's teammates with big Marvin!

Why is it that Osu gets spanked by 31 and all the top kids still want to play there?
Lsu had the opposite effect when we lost 21-0

TX is big state. Lots of schools. None of them have much buzz about them. Will any TX schools be ranked? If a kid isn't predisposed to like a particular school then it's open season.

Goes in cycles. Got a handful of TX players in positions of need already. Sometimes the #s don't matchup a given year & I think they are doing a good job considering the coaching changes...

Where was anything in my post that said anything about the SEC? I said they don't want to go play in that cess pool is the Big 12. Elite players want to play with and against elite players and that ain't 80% of the Big 12.

Little always wanted to go to Stanford. Just like Tillery always wanted to go to Notre Dame. He visited LSU last year (2015) but Stanford is his dream school.

Herman went to the wrong school, a good year for ut is going to be 7-5. Ut is so desperate they premium dollar on a one hit wonder. The big 12s problem i that texas rules it, what they say goes, hence the defections of faggies, cornholes and even colorado. If ou ever decides its had enough of playing 2nd fiddle to a now consistent middle of the pack ut, that conference will implode.
