This class seems heavy with skill players, just hoping to see a few good line prospects commit.
Yes. Because the state is loaded with skill players this year, especially WR. Tough balancing act between "get it while the getting is good" and filling needs, perceived or real. And LSU has just about cherry picked the DB's OOS after losing out on LC and P. Willis last year. So that ground is made up assuming Adams is aboard to go with the likes of Paris, Voorhies, etc (don't forget about Tolliver next year too).

As pointed out above, we're not light on DL. OL... yah, could probably use some more.

Remember when his brother commited at the high school allstar game. Their mother was decked out in LSU gear and critiziced Landon on camera for choosing Bama. Bama is not an option for GW.

Great. That's what I want to hear on GW. We need a can't miss DT recruit in this class.

Come on Gerald!

It's LSU/Fla. bama isn't even in the conversation. Don't get upset when you make baseless assumptions and are called on it.

Only highlights I found of rodriguez but he looks like a good project. Big frame and finishes blocks. Weight must be the only reason he's not as highly touted. Very agile for a big man most of the plays he's pulling.

Thank you... Not upset at all... I was simply replying (in jest) to the previous post which said that
quote:

historically brothers want to play at the same school

(ie Bama). I had no personal expectations that he was going to Bama - however, since Landon is - indeed - his half brother, the intent of my musing was to suggest that only half of him would have that tendency - the other half would stick with mom.

fwiw - I believe he is all Tiger...

Sorry for all the confusion and drama... Happy New Year!

Is he the only option that LSU is after for OT. Good kid, seen him play a few times, but he doesn't leave you blown away...

Crob screwed us here.

I wish fournette and Harris could sit down with him and show him how great they will be at LSU and we need him.

Derrick Kelly Jr, too, but he will be a tough pull from FSUs back yard, and the Rivals article makes it look like ER is the priority

These guys are still on-board:

Garrett Brumfield (OG), Davon Godchaux (SDE), Will Clapp (OG), Deondre Clark (SDE) are the linemen.

Last year we went heavy and brought in Boutte, Bower, Bain, Dodd, Gilmore, Herron, Lacouture, K.J. Malone, Neal, Patterson, Pocic, and Beckwith (???).

We lost out on CRob after making him a priority, and after he committed elsewhere we gauged interest in other prospects around the country. Didnt get enough mutual interest from the prospects they wanted so looks like they sat back and evaluated more players to see if anyone else materialized. Enter EL and Kelly.

You listed defensive end Deondre Clark as among the linemen on board, but a few weeks back there were reports that he was considering switching his commitment to nearby Oklahoma because of his mother's health situation.

What is the latest on this and if it does come true, then hopefully the Tiges can land Malik McDowell, Valentine or some other DL for that spot.

via twitter he did say that he's staying at LSU; this was following the rumor that he would swap because of his Mom.
