The West Coast schools are trying to get on this kid now. Do any of you think he is better than the kid from St. Aug in terms of talent? I know they are a year apart.

There was a thread on him a while back. He's really good and is already good RB size. Who knows how much more he'll grow or how much faster he'll get. A lot of schools will be after him. U High is also going to be better than they have in the past, so he'll get even more pub from that. But LSU has to have the inside track considering he's on campus already for HS and is in the same grade with one of Les' sons and starts in the same backfield with Ron Cooper's son.

6' as an incoming freshman. Depends on how much that kid grows and if he stays at RB. It's unlikely that he does if he shoots to about 6'4.

Really good athlete, playing out of position at QB, IMO, would be better served playing WR and/or DB. UHS coaching staff coming from 5A still haven't figured out in a 2A school that they have to play their best players on both sides of the ball to be competitive. This isn't a case where you have a huge squad of kids to be able to pick from.

Nick runs hard, hits the hole well, though he runs a bit upright, and could get to be too tall as mentioned. Does not have elite speed, more quick than a burner. Carried a load as an 8th grader last year, which is amazing when you consider the maturity factor when kids that age are growing so rapidly.

Nick stepped up big time last year for us and ended up having a great season as an 8th grader on varsity. Tristan Cooper is a great athlete and is a decent quarterback, but is going to make a very good Cornerback or slot receiver for someone. He's a natural playmaker. He's fast and strong, and with a couple more years in the weight room he'll make a great player for someone. Both of these guys are great leaders, and have stepped up big time as young players. My opinion is pretty biased though fwiw

ETA: we watch film on baby sometimes, and watching him play runningback and slot receiver was amazing. It would take about 4 people jumping on his back to take him down. He looked like a giant out there

Yeah well he refused to play OL because he was too worried about hurting his knee for basketball.
