I know we have Cotton and Jenkins but I think we will take another 2 to 3.

Reviewing the 247 La. prospect list...... I see James (DT) out of De La Salle (unknown if we're pursuing).

Have we offered anyone else locally or nationally ?

Search Feature FTW

Jarell Cherry out of Dallas and Timaje Porter out of Alabama are some names to look out for. Cherry will wind up becoming a 5 star by the end of the ranking season and I would look for him to be this years Buck LB. Porter could play NT.

Not really. The kid has said he wants to play DT and that's what they're recruiting him as.

Rosenthal is a ok DL pickup but he should be a OT.

I hope LSU takes him and then forces the switch. The kid needs to quit listening to whoever is telling him his future is on the DL.

Jerry tillery said the same thing coming out of high school when he went to Norte dame. He'll be a top 2 round pick next year

Would more than likely have been an undisputed 1st rounder on the OL though.

Forcing a switch doesn't happen. Only way a switch happens is if the player agrees.

Otherwise you have a player who will transfer out.

Rosenthal has an offer as DL and nothing about the past 2 years with him should make anyone feel confident about him playing OT down the road.

He could be an elite LT. Dude has exceptional feet and length for the position.

Tbh he looks much more natural as an OL than DL. He will also have to work extremely hard to keep weight off. I mean you never know about these things but from what I've seen of him he just looks more natural playing OL. If he would be at another school with talent all over I'm almost positive they would be starting him on OL. In any event I trust our coaches to evaluate then place him where he is best suited. GT

You recruit him at his position of choice and coach him up as best you can. If the point arises where it's obvious to the coach's sed player isn't going to make an impact at their preferred position you lay out the benefits of a position change.

Just my 2 cents

Why can't he be a mountain nose tackle at 6'7 and like 350?

Same reason everyone hated Pocic at center. Pad level and technique are huge in the SEC when you go against studs every week.
