Was the #1 WR and the #2 player in the 2018 class. Another example of Les hardly playing him while he was here but is still in the NFL with the giants

The answer is Kevin Faulk. His commitment showed the top players in the state that they could stay home and have success at LSU. A move that completely turned the program around.

Russel Shepard imo he recruited that whole class himself then stuck with a team and coach that didn’t even make a crappy attempt to utilize his talents

These were both MASSIVE. They also showed there's no such thing as a sure thing

Hate to make it about semantics but to me there is a difference between biggest and most impactful. Faulk was the most impactful but Fournette felt like the biggest recruitment. More exposure and bigger stage, it was essentially a 4 year recruitment, and they had to deal with “other stuff”.

Underwood has a chance to be a combination of both, impactful and biggest. At this stage he’s the most talented guy LSU has recruited.

Not sure about the biggest get.

But the biggest miss for me is Joe McKnight. I was so depressed. We let the next Reggie Bush walk out the back door.

Russell Shepard has some of the most amazing highschool film ever,up there with Reggie Bush and that says something.
His game just didn't translate to college as much as expected.he was freakishly electric ?

Tre and Devin White because the schools they came from Green Oaks in Shreveport and North Webster are so unbelievably impoverished and connection lacking in terms of getting your name out there and recruitment. The coaches there likely have 0 contacts and are lucky if they even have a working camera to film the game that I knew if they made the ESPN300 from there that they were likely very special and both were 1st rounders and multi year pro bowlers.

Anytime I see a Evangel or Calvary kid in ESPN300, I question if they're that good bc those schools coaches put tremendous effort in recruiting and are connected. Doug Pederson, Eagles SB winning head coach, coached at Calvary.

Ryan Perriloux had this board BUZZING and there has not been a close second in the history of Tigerroppings.

Fournette would be second, as it is hard to gauge players that came along before the internet.

Anyone who doesn’t say Kevin Faulk is either too young or doesn’t have a clue about recruiting.
