How on gods green earth could the previous staff have been recruiting that high school for the last 3 years and not have identified and recruited Weeks?
This is a huge indictment on the last staff. So glad we got him now. And super excited we got Arcement as well. I’m over the mind set of recruiting basic five stars. I want the talent that jumps off the tape.

He had an offer from only two top 25 teams. (Ole Miss & Kentucky)

Glad lsu got him but how good is he? Stats? What star receiver? How many games played? They really needed help, needed some back up and experience.

Sometimes, yes it’s obvious. Jamar chase wasn’t a 5-star but you watched his tape and you could tell.
Other times, Ishmael sophser and Kardell Thomas don’t look great in camp videos. But, they have huge frames and dominate smaller players so they maintain their five star status.

As much as I agree with you much of the top talent has been bought and paid for this cycle? LSU has to try to field a team that will be somewhat competitive to be able to sell recruits on LSU ! Then you need money to buy some of the bigger names!

Because they physically mature earlier. The issue with top talent in HS, they may have peaked.
