Sell them on:
2017: BYU in Houston
2018: Miami in Dallas
2019: Texas in Austin

If we're selling them on playing in their home state, why would they come to LSU in the first place?

I don't know why we didn't go harder in Georgia...no pun intended.

my understanding is that the '17 class in tejas is supposed to be a very good one. BDP is our tejas recruiter; he did very well this year. BUT, as we should know, an OOS kid can leave one at the altar (La kids do it too).

LSU has signed many kids from Florida and Georgia; both states produce surpluses. we need to bust our arse in all three of these states as we need OOS kids to supplement what the state of La. produces.

Why wouldn't the Texas schools just sell them on playing in Texas to begin with?

I have NEVER heard a recruit claim he signed with school X because they played a game, in the area he came from !
This is simply an additional excuse to play more neutral site, money grab games !
Also, I would not bet on the Texas home/home series, ever happening !
