This is a FL article with built in bias. He said LSU was in his top 2 after the in home with Haley because we put 3 DEs in the league just this year - Mingo, Montgomery, and Edwards. He likes Miles and the staff, a lot, and knows they can coach him up. He said no to Saban and Meyer after visiting both schools and after Meyer came to visit him - no connection. Mingo and Montgomery did not come for their OVs until late Jan. He will get here with LSU in the #1 recruiting position after the upcoming Jan 2 commits. We still have the inside track because of the Staff and momentum and the personality of this class is a lot like Carter's, believing they can all motivate each other. Chavis said the duo of Mingo and Montgomery were the two best speed rushers in the game and he would not trade them for any other two. We also have Malik McDowell coming a week after Carter and the two are already as big and fast as Mingo and Montgomery when they left LSU. Mingo came in at only 200 lbs and with only 2 yrs of high school football, having been a track star. Coaching up is what LSU is noted for. The 2009 class is the only one that finished #1 in recruiting. This yr. it will be #1 and a record. We could also go after Chad Thomas, and others if one or both of these opts for another school. The focus is on the Jan 2 group now but we need blazing pass rushers like M/M/E to pressure the quarterback on every play - and you know how high that must be on the list with Miles, Haley, Chavis & Co. Got to get creative and selective with the 25 and an embarrassment of riches.

Great points

That's exactly how I feel about carter. The allure of playing with all these guys were getting in this "dream team" class will be big for him. We will really drive it home on his official

Carter wants to play in a 4-3 and should. Thats his future. He had a coach steering him to UF. Idk if it was Carter's side cooling on them after the season they had, or the coach redirecting him to UGA for more stability that made him change. I do know at one point that UGA and Bama were the top two for him until this coach pushed him to Florida.

Whoever the coach is seems to want the best for Zo, so maybe he steers him to us now that we are showing interest.

Really long shot to reel this big fish in. but oh man what a catch that would be. He is a sure thing beast mode guy in college guy in my book.

He really wouldn't be worth talking about (LSU fans) if he wasn't such a huge catch because he probably doesn't end up here.

Here is to hoping he is smart enough to make the right decision.

If he somehow ends up here, print the "President Carter" shirts. Have those scattered about the stadium with the "Buga Nation" ones.
