The ONLY reason, as Moses himself stated, LSU was not in the top 5 is because when he tweeted that list LSU didn't have a defensive coordinator. He subsequently said that he expected LSU to be back at the top after a good hire (paraphrasing). We are definitely in it.

He went to high school ON LSU's campus.

I coached him at U-High. He played with Les's kids. I think it was kind of an obligation when he first committed. I do not expect him to play for LSU.

He dropped LSU out of his top 5 the moment Steele left. LSU has had a DC in place for almost a month now.

I can't explain the feeling that I get while walking into the LSU campus before a football game. It's even more special when I'm making that trek with any of my 3 kids in tow. I remember those walks mostly because my stories would change as they grew older. At 5/6 they would always want to talk about "Mike the Tiger" and how the entire city of Lafayette could possibly fit into Tiger stadium. As they've grown over the years, (12,16,18) they now love to hear the stories about my experiences as a student. I became friends with the LSU punter and took him and a LBer down to the Boudin Festival one year. I remember going over to the players dorm several times and hung out with our All American LBer a few times. He definitely had one thing in common with my buddies from Fla. Those were great times and great memories. I now tell my kids the PG13 version.

I told that story because my kids are now so infected with LSU that every time I fly out for business they ask me to bring them back ANYTHING LSU. My kids have never stepped foot on LSU's field. They've never had a backdoor pass to walk freely amongst the players and coaches...and yet they've developed this LOVE for LSU. I have a feeling that it will last a lifetime for my kids. I know it has for me.

I can't imagine an La kid, who has LSU rooted in their heart, not hating Bama. Was there ever ANY doubt that both of those 5* Ala. LBers were always committing to the GUMPS yesterday? They are BAMA boys and have BAMA in their hearts... and I get it.

its crazy how out of touch some of you retards are.

He's going to Bama. He's more in love with them right now and they're a far more stable program than us right now. Maybe that can change this upcoming season.

Why?

Just doesn't like the staff?

Just saw that myself.

When he has a sit down with Aranda we'll have a good shot.

Did he drop Bama out of his top 5 when Smart left?

I didn't think so.

The kid is blowing off his high school team to go play at IMG, likely because he thinks it's a "business decision". People who think he has any allegiance to BR are willfully blind. He stopped being a kid and started being a "NFL player in waiting" the moment they put his face on that magazine. Everything he does from here on will be calculated.

The irony is, he doesn't have to do any of that shite. He is already elite, and will shine anywhere he goes.

Yes ....yes and yes all in. You do not let a 5-star kid and #1 recruit from Baton Rouge get away even if he is at IMG. Build a fence around IMG as well.

For the life of me I'll never know why a young man that's been a die hard LSU fan all of his life and is literally playing in LSUs backyard in High school would even consider wanting to go to the enemy. Shouldn't even be giving Alabama a second thought.

I can give you a lot of reasons. His decision has a lot of factors that dont involve football. Take it how u want.

This will be a nerve racking wait and see because I think he will take it all the way to NSD.

That playing for a championship more often than not will play heavily on his mind. Stay at home and be a hero, or play for 3 or 4 national championships. Let's hope he changes his mind.

Good grief guys.....
Its far from over, lots of crazy things happen in the course of a recruiting year...
Yea, we may be in a huge dogfight and we may not even be the favorite anymore.... but its far from over.
This time last year, nobody thought we had a shot in hell of signing Saivion Smith.... I remeber it very specifically. He was a stud out of Florida that was gonna land with FSU, it was a given. Now what.....
Dylan may get homesick and want to be closer to his family, we're the hometown school.... You never know. We may not get him but we better try. We have a shot

IMG pretty well says it all. If we are all-in , we should be getting our rebuy right about now.
