The biggest difference between her success at UCLA and here is recruiting. She brought in top classes there, here they are not anything special. She needs players bottom line, I figured LSU would sell itself, I guess not...

Quit lying. People who lie to prove their point can't be trusted on anything they say because they are liars. I am one of the everyone and I don't see nor know that. I believe she has had an above average career so far at LSU. I believe injuries have held the team back a bit but she has done a good job to overcome the injuries.

I have a problem with people like you who constantly bombard the board with your negativity again Coach Caldwell. It goes above and beyond being an unbiased opinion. So the question is why are you so negatively biased against her? Because your behavior is not normal.

I want Pokey results, with Starkey management. Caldwell is nowhere close to that standard. Does that answer yor question Ms Nikki? LOL

Why are you so supportive? You like the high salary and no accountability?

LSU was high UP in WBB and Caldwell coasted with Van Chancellor players. Then you lose by double figures at home to UA-Pinebluff? You get spurned by the only 5 Star fr Louisiana? Damn right I don't like or accept your leadership!! What are you doing at all, besides salivating for more time or money?

We will have to disagree and you are going to year 4 with NOTHING but decline and excuses!! What injuries? Just excuses and poor management. What about all the defections and poor NCAA grad rates? We did not have this before Caldwell. If you defend NC you must be in her camp!!!!

There you go lying again! Check out the WBB team graduation rate again. Three sports led LSU with perfect scores of 100 – women’s basketball, women’s golf and women’s tennis, while volleyball (92), gymnastics (91), men’s golf (90) and men’s swimming (90) all recorded scores of at least 90 percent. - Michael Bonnett Published: October 24, 2013.

What "all the defections" are you talking about? What players have left the program? Don't players leave all programs? This isn't the first time a top player has left a state to play at another school. It happens all the time. Shaquille left Texas, Chris Jackson left Mississippi. Why is it so much worst because it happened on Coach Caldwell's watch.

LSU was high up when Coach Caldwell took over? There you go lying again! It is evident you are a liar. LSU, under Van Chancellor's last three years was 59-34, made the NCAA tournament two of the three years and made the 2nd round twice.

In Caldwell's first three years, LSU is 66-36 and made the tournament each year with the worst outcome being the 2nd round and two sweet 16s. Where is that decline you are lying about? The facts are the program has improved under Caldwell. Chancellor's last year LSU was 19-13 and did not make the tournament. Caldwell's first year LSU was 23-11 and made the 2nd round of the tournament.

As I stated before your hate for Coach Caldwell is clearly evident. The question is why? You hate her so much you resort to lying to support your hate filled rants. Your hate has warped your thinking. Hate will eat you from the inside out.

By the way I am not Coach Caldwell, nor am I in her camp. I just hate to see biased people ranting as if they are being objective when it is clear they are not. "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." - Edmund Burke

Yeah, that is pretty much where I stand on Caldwell.

Her recruiting success on paper has been atrocious, but the fact of the matter is that she is winning. Chancellor was way too busy hitting balls up at the Uclub to give a shite about the program

So I disagree with you and deserve to be banned?

Didn't you think this staff would AT LEAST recruit?

Van beat her the previous year at UCLA, on their floor. I knew she was green and probably very inexperienced. I did not think she'd fail to recruit. Say what you want, but when you lose the heart of your 1st recruiting class, and YOU CLAIM VAN DID NOTHING, he left her a cupboard full of 4 and 5 *'s, last year she lost Plaisance/Kenney/McKinney......players recruited by VC. Now what happened past that point? It is what it is and you just cannot take the fact that I am scoffing at the salary versus the results.......it just does not add up and for LSU WBB, I think it is not fair. You suggest Ibe banned for saying this? Or is it because I scoff at the whole situation we have been handed by Aleva?

FWIW, I actually agree with most of what you are saying. Just not sure if you are delivering the message in the right way. With her salary, a change isn't happening. Bashing her on a LSU message board cant help with recruiting.

Her parents (PJ Brown, NBA Player and his wife) both went to La Tech. I imagine that's where the mulkey connection comes in. She has already signed with Baylor. I agree the recruiting results are disappointing but she has won. I'm in no hurry to see her leave.

Well I am looking at our girls team and I have also been watching Baylor and Kentucky. There just is no comparason between our girls and those 2 teams I mentioned. I don't know the answer to our girls having those kind of teams but it could possibly be a long season from I am seeing.

If the girls can't pull this out there is a good chance they could not win any games till SEC play especially th way thy are a turnover machine and with scorer.

Got that OT win over Jackson State. That's how you get prepped for the SEC. Sunny days are ahead.

We are about to hit the tough part of the non conference schedule, I do not see us winning those. I don't see us beating any SEC teams, maybe Ole Miss, everyone else has way more talent than us. Rina Hill Anne Pedersen Bethel and Boykin combo has to be one of the worst combinations I have ever seen...

Yup, and maybe Mulkey can help her develop a work ethic in the next four years, she needs one.

I'm pretty sure he's TNNT, or at least that sad old man that comments on every LSUsport.net article via facebook.

What he doesn't understand is that we agree with him that recruiting needs to step up, but you can't just fire her after back-to-back sweet 16's. It is fact that our win totals have gone up since she's been here....though I think the program is about to hit a brick wall

This^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^is the bottom line.
No program is going to fire a coach that has taken the program to two straight sweet sixteens. So, complaining about the current team THREE GAMES INTO THE SEASON, just makes you look clueless. It's been well understood for the past two years..............even while Caldwell's teams were winning..........that mistert just doesn't like Nikki Caldwell. So, anything that he posts is expected to be completely negative.........as is always the case.

I don't think any of us are satisfied with how the team has played the past three seasons. But, we certainly understand, after having to endure Van Chancellor's reign, that it can be worse. What's hurting the program right now in terms of returning to elite status, is recruiting. Signing Ayanna Mitchell today is a start. There are still three scholarships available. Lets wait and see how this recruiting class turns out. This current team is weak in the post..........we know this and we knew it coming into the season. But the guard rotation has the potential to be very good. Lets see how the team is playing once January comes around. Right now, we're still in November. There's no telling how good or bad the team will be at this point. We're not good enough to be among the top four in the SEC, but we could still be an NCAA tournament team.

Rational unbiased thinking.

>Top 50 player signed.
>You do not fire coaches after back to back sweet 16s
>You do not fire coaches after 3 straight NCAA appearances in 3 tries.
>You do not judge a season after the first 3 games or after one game.
>Why does mistert hate Nikki Caldwell?
>Why does he call her Cleo?
*mistert seems an appropriate name for mistert:
*misrepresent, misbehave, misappropriate, misfit, miserable

Being objective, I do like Caldwell as a person. I am sure she means very well. I do thinks its ignorant to say she doesn't work hard. Her recruiting struggles are a concern. Maybe its time for her to hire a big time recruiter. She does well with molding talent. She does develop players. Her glory or downfall will all come down to who she is bringing in. Rina Hill is not an SEC players, as well as Boykins. Pedersen can shoot but theres more to the game then that. Jasmine Rhodes could be a solid player. We are desperately lacking a true point guard who can run an offense. Post players are the weakness of this team. We will have to rely on defense to generate offense this year.
