Was Kevin Steele Hired or No?

I am reading on another message board that LSU may have backed out on hiring Kevin Steele for some administrative position. Is this the case? Was it really boosters that caused this thing to end?

i am a booster and i'm here to tell you i had absolutely nothing to do with it.

For the record KSteele was never going to be "hired" as a paid staffer by LSU. Currently, he is still being compensated by Clemson University as part of his buyout.
Put another way, lets just say there are $1million reasons he being advised not to "consult" with the LSU staff this upcoming season. Has absolutely nothing to do with reaction from boosters or other blasphemy rumors.
FTR, it is my understanding he was never going to have contact with any of the players. Instead, he was going to review game film and assist with game plan design alongside his lifelong friend, the Chief.

I find it both amusing and revealing how people continue to emphasize and attempt to reassure everyone that Steele would have absolutely no contact with our players.

..he has retroactively resigned from Clemson to February 2009 , and had nothing whatsoever to do with anything football in any way ...
