I played pickup basketball in the gym armory at LSU in 1982(?) against a fat black kid who started at nose tackle for LSU six months later. He went on to an All-Pro career with the Vikings. His name was Henry Thomas. What a fat frick he was, but what an athlete!
He was listed at 6-1 or 6-2, but I was 6-2 and I was a couple inches taller. He was about 300 lbs with a lot of hanging weight, but he outjumped me by a lot.
Some of these black kids can handle a lot of extra weight and still move, and jump, well.
