I see a lil Glenn Dorsey in him. Hopefully come signing day he will be a Tiger.

Is Rivals doing the same thing with their #1 2017 football like they did with the UK player over Ben Simmons in basketball?

Once he shaves down that baby weight he will be one the most dominant interior lineman in the country ... This kid has Gerald McCoy written all over him

Nice to have someone as talented as he is commited this early... I know it doesn't mean much to be commited so early in the process but I can't help but love the recruits that honor there commits for a long period like Kevin Toliver... Hopefully Shelvins recruiting process goes similar

Guaranteed he won't be #1 if he stays with LSU
Rivals won't allow it

He is at the right place to keep that 5* rating. Coach Cook and his staff will maximize his ability to the fullest and he will definitely be stronger and bigger when he leaves for LSU.

Cue the Vince Woolfork comparisons. So what if the kid is 16-17, right?

No. Not in a long time.

He's from Lafayette. I'd be more worried if he was from Nola or Baton Rouge.

Najee Harris (the best RB they have seen in a while) and committed to..... Gumps. Go figure. Guess LF,and McCaffrey are scrubs in their eyes.

I've been waiting for that Glenn Dorsey era to come back to LSU and I think Shelvin possesses a lot of Dorsey's characteristics on the field.
During HS both of their H/W were similar to each other with GD at 6'2 295. and Shelvin sitting at 6'2 320.
Ed O will be licking his chops with Shelvin, Ed Alexander, Glen Logan and Rashard Lawrence playing at the DT position.
