They may not be copies of each other but they both would play a similar role in LSU's running game. Neither one is going between the tackles with any regularity at 195.

I definitely agree with you here. And thus, we have no need for 2 secondary finesse backs who would compete for limited touches. The staff needs to pick one and not the other. And it seems as though they have. Etienne's style of play is honestly better taylored for atm's attack. We will be just fine signing only CEH in this class at RB. If the staff doesn't pull a rabbit out of a hat with Akers or land another dark horse power back, I hope the scholarship is used on another position.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Etienne seems like a hell of a player and I think he would be very wise to stick with aTm.

Clyde is short and thick and runs well between the tackles. Etienne is more of a slasher. they arent really alike at all

Opened the season with 185 on 13 carries and 2 TDs. Jennings shut out Kinder 34-0. Also set the school record for career rushing yards. I think I'm more shocked that their defense didn't allow a point.

So he probably split time in the second half?

Will LSU have a better shot if Ole Miss is hammered by the NCAA?

No "style of play" that aTm uses is conducive for a running back. That's a school that kills a RB's dreams.

Was telling step dad today that LSU should offer this kid as an ATH and give him the Russell Shepard role. He would be perfect for it with his speed

What "role" did Shep play? What athelete would want to mimic his career?

Etienne's not much smaller than Alfred Blue coming out.

First off, for the guy that thinks they are the same size, Etienne is 190. Clyde is 208lbs built like a Tank and will easily be 215 when he gets on campus.

2nd Alfred Blue was 6'2 205 coming out high school and ended up being 6'2 220 which is big for a RB

Etienne will put on weight and muscle too. He may not be as big as Blue in college but to act like he's too small to play here is silly.

Oh ok thats what you were referring to, I actually feel he is a take in this class. I think CEH is the better back, but I would love for us to get both.

Everyone wants him as a DB. Only play on defense last year was a 100 yard pick 6. I don't know if he is dead set on being a RB or not. Either way this kid can play. He is also a great kid off the field.

The only reason he had 185 yards in the opening game, is because they have another RB that rushed for @ 70 yards. Jennings only ran 4 plays in the first quarter.

travis started the season 6' 208 running like a man possessed on every carry this year LSU can keep sleeping but he's going to be talked about forever as one that they missed out on.
