two Louisiana players here;
quote:

Devante Bourque, ATH, Gueydan (La.)
Louisiana is one of the states where talent is not strictly confined to big schools. Major recruits are often found in smaller schools across the bayou. Gueydan’s Devante Bourque will likely be a great example of that.

The 6-3, 200-pound return specialist was a 1A all-state selection thanks to a truly amazing season on special teams. While several sophomores cracked the list, Bourque was the only ninth grader. He returned three kickoffs for scores and also brought three punts to the house.

Bourque plays basketball and runs track, showing that his talents are not restricted to pigskin. However, he is a sure-fire football recruit and will likely choose that route for college

quote:

Dillon Gordon, LB, John Curtis (River Ridge, La.)

The next major recruit to come from legendary John Curtis could be sophomore Dillon Gordon.

He’s 6-4, 215 pounds and saw a lot of action on special teams as a ninth grader for the 2A state champion Patriots. He will probably slot in at linebacker this year, though he may also be able to play defensive end.

The John Curtis coaching staff expects Gordon to be a heavily-courted recruit.

“He’s got a chance to be really, really good,” said assistant coach Jeff Curtis.

do they have any coaches that aren't family?

there's a kid by the last name of Brunson at RHS that will also be one to watch for in 2012. Last spring he came in at 6'4.5 280 at team physicals, an is starting at RT, and already benches near 300, and he's an excellent student. Kids gonna be a beast

Well a sophmore at John Curtis is 18, so that height/weight is reasonable.

There is a kid from West Bolivar HS in the Mississippi delta, a RB from the 2012 class that would make Cody Paul ashamed of his video. I can't recall his name but he is Noel Devine part II.

Another name to look for is Alonzo Moore from Winnfield, LA he is currently 6ft 2" about 165-175 and runs the 40 in the 4.6 range. Went over a 1000 combined yds passing and rushing last year as a freshman and was the co-mvp of the nuc combine in baton rouge for 2012 kids. Plays QB for Winnfield but could literally play 4 or 5 different positions.

That's who I thought you were referring too. He moved back to Miami. Said Redemptorist was too trashy for him.

well damn when it comes to be that time, he'll be a way tougher pull obviously then if he was right in our backyard... he probably grew up a Cane fan.

That list is bogus because is doesn't have Karmichael Dunbar, Karl's son, on it. He was 6'2", 285 last year as freshman, and you know he's getting some good lessons from hanging out with Minnesota Vikings d-linemen.

ETA: Karmichael plays at Prior Lake HS in Minnesota, he doesn't have a rivals profile yet.
