Tony Brown wants to run track also. He is just kicking tires at Bama, they don't have the caliber track program needed to get him to commit.

hes definitely solid...silently one of our best recruiters in this class
Yeah, Jacory was also on Leonard's visit to USC. I think he's also been on visits to other schools with other recruits too. I know he was on one with Quinn to A&M. Jacory is keeping these boys in line.
Seriously though I'm starting to get worried about Tony. I don't understand why he would even think about another school than LSU. We're close enough to his family to were travel wouldn't be a hassle for his dad, we have a top flight track program, good academics, his sister is going to be here, we're DBU, we've been recruiting him since he was a freshman and I'm pretty sure we were his first offer, Brick Haley is close to his family and we have two of his best friends already committed. Why would he go any where else?

I would think not only LSU, but A&M, Texas and others recruiting Brown would remind him about their solid track programs.
I am certain he is aware of the quality of the track programs at all the schools he is considering.

I read on a track an field board that Saban is no longer the track friendly coach that he was at LSU, and that Brown will be under pressure to give up track once he signs.

Bama has had none under Saban run track for more than 3 weeks. Some have been recruited with ok to run but then are discouraged and made to feel like they are not doing what they need to be doing to make Bama (Saban) football great and so it has worsened.
Saban recruits speed guys with idea, sure let them run a little but knows he will get them to choose not to run track once on campus. Its a culture he has developed especially now at Bama. He has become even more of a control freak. Ask Harvey Glance before he departed Bama what it was like. I have and Saban is no fan of track I can assure you.

From seeing how competitive Tony Brown is, my opinion is he would rather run against him.

Teaming up with Humphrey could be an alluring thought.
teaming up with White or Paris is a much more alluring thought, though….
look at the numbers… LSU puts far more DB's in the league, and they are better quality than that of Bama's pro DB's…
at the track thing, and his sister eventually going to be set here, and really, the writing is on the wall….

And how could you forget the best of the bunch, Kevin Toliver II?

I think Tony's recruitment is annoying me more then any other.
There's always that one.

Toliver will be very good, but he'll have to earn it…. lot of talent that will already be on campus, with experience, so we'll see….

This reminds me of the recruitment of Richmond Flowers, Jr. back in the 1960's. How many folks here are familiar with that story?
