Thoughts on Justin Harris

6'5" 250
Only been playing football for a couple years.
Had 29 sacks his senior year.
Stats and measurables alone makes me think he is a take.
How far down the board do you think this guy is? I believe he is coming for an official in January.

A lot of upside. Frame can add significant weight and he's a pretty good athlete.

Want. 29 sacks isn't a fluke. Reminds me of Zeke Ansah. Just for the fact that he's an awesome pass rusher and hasn't played football long.

If we miss on Mathis, I'm pretty sure he gets in this class.

With timing of his visit it will come down to if LSU has room. If LSU misses on their remaining targets I think he will be LSU.

I wonder if he is being looked at/offered at tight end. You probably should get at least one tight end in every class and I do not see one committed in this class or one that we have the lead on.
If we get Wilson and/or Mathis we should be full on the defensive line with Moffitt, Farrell and Shelvin. That would be an awesome haul.
Harris is kind of raw at football with a basketball background. He has Jimmy Graham size and athleticism. Even if we fill up on the d-line, I wonder if he gets offered at tight end. He looks like he could be a real load for any safety to handle.

Harris had a tremendous season, but per his coach he had 11.5 sacks as a senior.

He may get in if we whiff on a few guys down the road, but theres a reason he has zero Power 5 offers this late in game I think

It may be a close call if we offer depending on how things go, and if we take 25,26, or 27. I would take a chance on him as a freak pass-rushing OLB / DE.
